Arched shutters shaped to your arch

Your arched window keeps its outline. We shape the shutter to the curve rather than square it off, and the louvres still tilt to let the daylight in.

An arched window worth keeping on show

An arch is often the best thing in the room, and a curtain, pole or pelmet tends to hide it. Fill the arch with a shaped shutter and you get privacy, less sun and less noise from a busy road.

The classic finish has horizontal louvres running up into the arch. You can also top the shutter with a sunburst, a fan or an eyebrow. Georgia, Boston, Montana and Hollywood all make shaped shutters, and for an arch that is not a true curve we take a template and make it in Montana.

  • True to the outline

We make the shutter to your arch's own shape, and the window keeps the look it was built with.

  • Pick the top

A sunburst, a fan, an eyebrow, or horizontal louvres that carry on into the arch.

  • Uneven arches as well

An arch that is not a true curve can be made in Montana from a template.

Ranges that make arched shutters

Georgia, Boston, Montana and Hollywood make arched shutters, and Seattle does not. For an uneven arch we make a template, and that work is done in Montana only.

Between them, the five ranges offer 41 colours and stains, and four of them will match a custom colour.

Questions we get on arched shutters

Not answered here? Ring 08707 545 300 or bring it up at your free design visit. We are open 7 days, 9am to 6pm.

What counts as an arched shutter?

A shutter shaped for an arched, semi-circular or eyebrow window. Because it follows the curve, the arch stays on show, and the light and privacy are still yours to control.

Is there an arch you cannot do?

Very few. A true arch we work out from its measurements, and any of Georgia, Boston, Montana or Hollywood can make it. For an uneven one we need a template, and Montana is the range for it.

What goes in the arch itself?

The classic choice is horizontal louvres running up into the arch. You can also have a sunburst, a fan or an eyebrow, and we show you each one at your design visit.

Can you do an arched bay?

Yes. We shape each window's shutter to its own arch, and the whole bay looks and works as one set.

Will I still get daylight?

Yes. Open the louvres for daylight, angle them against the glare or close them up at night, and the window keeps its arch the whole time.

What colours can I have?

Plenty of paint colours, and wood stains too if you choose Montana hardwood. Samples come with us to your free design visit.

Is the arch hard to clean?

No. Dust it and wipe it with a damp cloth every so often. The curved top takes no extra care.
