About this policy
Cookies are used by Shutter World (“we”, “us” or “our”) on its website and in the Shutter Design App, its mobile application (the “Service”). If you use the Service, you consent to our use of cookies.
This policy covers how we use cookies and what they are, how cookies may be used on the Service by any partners we may work with, the choices you have about cookies, and where to read more about them.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website you visit sends to your web browser. Your browser keeps the cookie file, which lets a third party, or the Service itself, recognise you, so your next visit is easier and you get more out of the Service.
Cookies are either “persistent” or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie is kept on your mobile device or personal computer after you go offline. A session cookie is deleted the moment you shut your web browser.
Our use of cookies
Using and accessing the Service may lead to us placing several cookie files in the browser you use. Our purposes for using cookies are:
- enabling certain functions of the Service
- providing analytics
- enabling the delivery of advertisements, behavioural advertising included.
The Service uses both session and persistent cookies, and we run it with different types of cookie:
- Essential cookies
- We may set cookies that remember information which changes how the Service looks or behaves, such as the language a user prefers.
- Analytics cookies
- We may use these to track use of the Service so that we can make it better. They may also help us test new pages, features, functionality or advertisements on the Service and see how users respond.
- Advertising cookies
- These cookies are used to show advertisements on the Service and through it, and to measure how well those advertisements perform. They may also enable third-party advertising networks to show you ads that may be relevant, based on your interests or activities.
Cookies from third parties
On top of our own cookies, we may use a variety of third-party cookies, for example to report statistics on use of the Service or to show advertisements on the Service and through it.
Controlling cookies
Your web browser's help pages explain how to delete cookies, or how to set the browser to refuse or delete them.
Be aware, though, that deleting or refusing cookies may mean some features we offer will not work for you, your preferences cannot be stored, and some of our pages do not display as they should.
