How much do plantation shutters cost per square metre?

What each price band gets you
Seattle is our budget-friendly range. The tough engineered wood core carries a resilient, moisture-resistant polypropylene finish that looks like painted timber and wipes clean. The louvres are adjustable and the shutters are cord-free. You choose from a set of neutral tones.
Hollywood is 100% waterproof. It resists steam, splashes, humidity, warping, cracking and fading. Hollywood sits in a lower band than Boston per square metre, so a steamy room doesn't have to push you into a higher one.
Boston pairs engineered wood cores with a tough MDF frame. It handles kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms without swelling, and it blocks heat in summer and holds warmth in winter. Finishes run from crisp white to a rich wood-tone effect.
Montana is solid, responsibly harvested hardwood with real grain. Finishes include crisp white, natural oak and bold statement colours. It suits heritage homes, feature windows, sliding doors and patio entrances.
Georgia has a high-density MDF core with a polypropylene coating. It is moisture-resistant but not fully waterproof, so keep it away from prolonged direct water. It comes with a material and workmanship warranty. Call us on 08707 545 300 for its per-square-metre price.
What decides the final price of my shutters?
Two things set your total: the range you pick and the window area we measure. The per-square-metre band comes from the range. The area comes from the on-site survey, so your quote reflects your actual openings.
We start every job with a free home design consultation and on-site survey. We reject the "cut-to-fit" approach. Every frame, panel and slat is made for your specific window, so there are no unsightly fillers.
Style is agreed at the same visit. Montana and Georgia both come as full-height, tier-on-tier, café style and tracked configurations. We also build shutters for arched, angled, angled bay, curved bay, square bay, round, conservatory, patio door and skylight openings. If your window isn't a standard rectangle, we still make it to fit.
Which range gives the best value for my room?
Match the range to the room first and the budget second. A bedroom or living area with no moisture problem suits Seattle at the lowest band. Steam and splashes point to Hollywood. A heritage home or a feature window suits Montana hardwood.
A typical scenario is a terraced house with a bay in the front room and a small bathroom upstairs. The bay could take Montana for the grain and finish, while the bathroom takes Hollywood for full waterproofing. Mixing ranges across one home is normal for us. Our range comparison covers the differences in more depth.
